Parent Resource Centers
The McAllen ISD Parent Resource Centers were created by the district to be a source of support and information for parents and families, to offer parents encouragement and support, and to share ways to work as a team with the child's school so the child can be prepared for his or her future.
Workshops are provided on a variety of topics including Organizational and Study Skills, Parenting Topic, ESL classes using the Rosetta Stone Program, Understanding Supplemental Programs, and more. A Parent Training Specialist is assigned to each center to assist parents with any assistance they might request. For more information contact the Parent Training Specialist at your campus or the State and Federal Programs office at (956) 632-5192.
Skyward Student and Family Access
Skyward Family Access is a web-based product that will allow parents to be more connected with their children's academic progress and to update information over the internet.
